Atlanta Hawks New Orleans reviews
Hawks in the ECF!!!!!
Let me just say....I've been to a majority of the hawks playoff games over the years and I have to say this one was the most exciting. The overall fan experience was amazing, from the giveaways and even the quality of the shirts was top notch.
There were a couple of issues though, first the ticket prices went up for the Cav series which would explain why there were so many empty seats. Come on Hawks, everyone can pay those prices. Secondly i was sitting next to a guy who had his son sitting on his lap almost the whole game, where's security to check the tickets.
But the pros out weigh the cons and I would recommend everyone to go to at least one Hawks game just for the experience.
Game was great but vending and bathrooms were not!
Game was terrific! I was extremely disappointed in the time waiting in line for food. The cash registers were having problems and several concession stands throughout the building were not open forcing more people to go to a limited number of spots for food. If you happened to be going for refills there were no places designated to allow that without having to wait in the lines where people were waiting for food to be prepared such as tacos, etc. I spent most of the end of halftime and the third quarter waiting for refills for my family. The bathrooms ran out of paper towels in the second half and there was only one Dyson Air Machine in the room so you had to wait in line to dry your hands or wipe them elsewhere. This is not the norm for Phillips so not sure if they were understaffed because it was a holiday or because the Falcons game was going on at the same time or what but it was very frustrating.
First practice for us...better than expected
The line to get inside the stadium was long but the staff was very organized and helpful. Once the doors opened, the process to get in was fast and easy. We found great seats and the vibe was really cool; family-friendly; fans galore...The practice was phenomenal, not only did we see all the players initially stretch, exercise, and throw 2 and 3 pointers, but then went on to play a whole game amongst themselves, which was really awesome. The closing was also fantastic, the rookies doing some lip-synching to some favorite tunes and being silly. We visited the store which has too many great things for purchase and ended up buying a couple of Hawks-themed jerseys and other cool stuff. Overall, an awesome family night for me and my two boys (12 and 10).
